With great pleasure I have accepted the patronage of the Benefit Concert for Rumanian Children (for the orphanage in Timisu de Sus, Rumania, under the “Institute of the English Maiden”) which is supported by the “Konishi Foundation for International Exchange” and will take place in October 1992 in Tokyo, Suntory Hall, with the performers Rebecca Rust, cello; Friedrich Edelmann, bassoon; David Apter, piano; and I wish this concert to become most successful.
